Now, the state of Himachal consists of many breath taking hill stations. However, there are few that have not been explored thus far. a. Barog:
‘6000 feet’ is the altitude at which Barog, a quaint hill station in Himachal Pradesh is elevated. It is located in the Solan district, and has remained unexplored. Furthermore, it is renowned for a spot known as Chandini peak, which is frequently visited by tourists. In addition, this hill station is known for religious sites such as the Vishal Shiva Temple, and Dolanji Bon Monastery. It is also popular for spots such as, the Renuka Lake, Children’s Park, and Jawahar Park.
b. Joginder Nagar:
‘Three hydroelectric stations’ is what Joginder Nagar, a picturesque hill station in Himachal Pradesh is known for. It is elevated at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level in the Mandi district. Furthermore, it is surrounded on all sides by dense forests comprising of beautiful Pine and Rhododendron trees. Additionally, it also possesses a landscape for adventure activities such as paragliding, mountain biking and trekking.
c. Kiarighat:
Situated at a distance of 19 km from Solan, is a beautiful in Himachal Pradesh known as Kiarighat. It is renowned for its ‘pristine and serene’ atmosphere, and as of yet has not been explored. Furthermore, due its beautiful green landscape, it mainly attracts photographers and avid nature lovers. In terms of travel by road, this hill station is well connected via the ‘Shimla-Kalka National Highway’.
d. Haripurdhar:
Situated on a ridge, and lying in close proximity to a deep valley, is a scenic hill station located Himachal Pradesh known as Haripurdhar. It is elevated at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level, in the Sirmaur district. Furthermore, this hill station is known for beautiful winters, during which snowfall can be experienced. Apparently, it was earlier known as ‘Dungbhangyani’, and was the former capital of the Sirmaur district. In addition, it is popular for a Hindu shrine called ‘Bhangyani Mata Temple’.
e. Rewalsar:
‘Pious’ is a word which perfectly describes, a beautiful hill station in Himachal Pradesh called Rewalsar. It is elevated at an altitude of 1360 meters above sea level, and is renowned as a pilgrimage center. It mainly comprises of 3 Hindu shrines as well as 3 Buddhist monasteries. Furthermore, it was at this hill station (apparently) that the 10th Sikh guru, Govind Singh is supposed to have resided for a month. In addition, a popular fair known as ‘Sisu’ is organized over here annually.
