The Araku Valley has its own Railway Station. The Araku Valley Railway Station receives one passenger train from Vishakhapatnam Railway Station daily. The duration of the journey between Vishakhapatnam and Araku is six hours.

Climate and the best time to visit The Araku Valley
The climate of Araku Valley can best be termed as “temperate”. The summers which begin in March and end in May is pleasant with temperatures varying from 18 degrees to 28 degrees. Heavy rainfall is received during the monsoon seasons that begin in June and extends up to October. During this period due to heavy rainfalls, landslides are routinely observed. The winter season which begins in December and ends in February are severe with the mercury dropping down to 5 degrees. The ideal time to visit this scenic hill station is from June to February.
