The nearest railway station to Chamba is the Rishikesh railway station which is well connected to all major cities in the country.

Climate and best time to visit Chamba Hills
During summers the temperature ranges from 14 degree Celsius minimum to 30 degree Celsius. Winters are usually very cold and snowfall is witnessed during January and February. Gabbar Singh Negi Memorial: This was constructed in the honor of Thakur Gabbar Singh in 1925, who was a participant in the 1913 Garhwal Rifles. He won the battle at Flanders during the First World War
