Chamba with a population of around 20,312 and, elevated at an altitude of about 3,268 feet above sea level is a beautiful hill station. This hill station is located in Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at the banks of the river Ravi at its confluence with the River Sal. It also acts as an ideal gateway to Rishikesh, a famous Hindu pilgrimage centre. This small town also happens to be the location where a popular Bollywood movie titled “Taal” starring Aishwarya Rai, Akshaye Khanna, and Anil Kapoor was shot. Since this extremely scenic hill station is located in Himachal Pradesh the cuisine available is predominantly “Himachali” with, typical delicacies such as Madra (Rajma dish) being very popular.
