Gulmarg located at an altitude of 2,650 meters above sea level in the Pirpanjal Range in the Himalayas is a beautiful hill station. It was initially named Gaurimarg in honor of the Hindu Goddess Parvati. And then was renamed as Gulmarg which means meadow of flowers during the 16th century.
