Gulmarg located at an altitude of 2,650 meters above sea level in the Pirpanjal Range in the Himalayas is a beautiful hill station. It was initially named Gaurimarg in honor of the Hindu Goddess Parvati. And then was renamed as Gulmarg which means meadow of flowers during the 16th century. The food available in Gulmarg being essentially Kashmiri which, include delicacies such as Rogan Josh, Dum Aloo, Yakhni, Modur Pulaav, Sheekh Kabab etc. Since Gulmarg is a popular tourist destination there are a number of restaurants that tourists can enjoy. They are as follows.
