Located in the Dima Hasao district of Assam is an extremely scenic hill station called “Haflong”. Such is the natural beauty of this hill station that it has quite rightly earned the sobriquet “Switzerland of the east”. It is also popular for a lake known as “Haflong Lake” which is located at the centre of this hill station. Since Haflong is situated in Assam the food available is typically “Assamese” which, consists of rice or bhaat, dal i.e.lentils, masor jul i.e. fish curry, mangso i.e. meat curry, and Xaak and Bhaji i.e.herbs and vegetables.
