Established on the 26th January 1972, Idukki district is a beautiful and popular tourist destination in Kerala. This district is also known to be the second largest district after “Palakkad” in the state. It is also supposed to possess Asia’s first and the world’s second great arch dam which is located across the Periyar River. This region is also known to be a “trekker’s paradise”.
