Kalimpong or Kalenpung which in the Lepcha language means “Hillock of Assemblage” is a beautiful hill station located in West Bengal. This town is located in the Kalimpong district at an altitude of 1,250 meters above sea level. It is also situated on a ridge that overlooks the beautiful Teesta River. The 27th Mountain Division of the Indian Army is also located in this extremely picturesque hill station. The cuisine available in this region is a mix of Bengali, Tibetan, and Chinese.
