Located in Solan district in Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful hill station called Kasauli which was first established as a colonial hill station by the British Raj way back in 1842. This extremely scenic hill station is elevated at an altitude of 1,900 feet meters above sea level. It is also quite popular for being a health resort. The food available here is typically Himachali with, traditional Himachal delicacies such as Sidu (locally made bread), Kadhi, Poppy seeds halwa, Maadra etc being popular. As for beverages Green Ginger Tea and locally made wine such as peach wine, plum wine, apple wine etc are extremely popular.
