Cuisine And Restaurant – Lonavala Hills

Lonavala which in the Prakrit language means “a series of resting places carved from stone” is beautiful hill station located in Maharashtra in the Pune district. And since this scenic hill station is situated in Maharashtra the food available is typically Maharashtrian in flavour. Especially popular in this region are street food such as roasted corn and the ever popular delicacy of the state Vada Pav. In relation to sweets/deserts, Lonavla is renowned for Chikki, a hard candy made up of peanuts and dry fruits. Additionally, it is also popular for a desert known as Coopers Fudge, which is a form of chocolate walnut fudge. Additionally, since this hill station is also a popular tourist destination there are large of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines that includes Gujarati, Mughalai, Punjabi, Chinese, Germany, Italian etc. A few popular restaurants in this region are as follows.

  1. Sheetal Da Dhaba (Resto Bar):

Cuisines: North Indian, Mughlai, Chinese, seafood, and alcoholic beverages.

Cost for two: Rs 1,200.

Working hours: 11 am to 1 am.

  1. Cafe 24 (Resto Bar):

Cuisines: North Indian, Continental, South Indian, Fast food, Asian pizza, and alcoholic beverages.

Cost for two: Rs 2,000

Working hours: 24 hours.
