Located on the banks of the River Lidder in the Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir is a scenic hill station called Pahalgam. This hill station is located at an altitude of about 7,200 feet above sea level. This region is also known for being the starting point of the popular Amarnath Yatra, an annual Hindu pilgrimage that begins in July. As for food, a large variety with a distinct Kashmiri flavour is available in this area.
