In the Kangra Valley in Himachal Pradesh there is an extremely scenic hill station called “Palampur”. The name of this hill station is derived from the local Pahari word “palum” meaning lots of water. It is elevated at an altitude of 1,472 above sea level and is famous for its tea plantations. It is also considered to be the “tea capital” of the northwest of India. It is an ideal spot for adventure sports such as hand gliding and trekking.
