Climate and the best time to visit Kangra
The climate in Kangra generally speaking is pleasant. The temperature during the summer which begins in March and ends in June ranges from 22 degrees to 38 degrees. The rainfall received during the monsoons i.e. July to September is heavy. This season is characterized by greenery all around the region. The winters beginning from December and ending in February being extremely cold with mercury dropping to as low as 4 degrees. The ideal time to visit this beautiful town is from March to June.

- HaripurGuler: Is the twin township that is famous for preserving the phari painting of the GulerRiyasat. The Haripur Hills is also known for a number of skeletons of memorials and citadel that was built by Raja Hari Chand.
- Kangra Art Museum: Is an Art museum which possesses a good collection of arts, crafts, artefacts etc. This museum also is famous for showcasing Kangra Kalam work and Pahri miniature paintings.
- Brajeshwari Devi Temple: Also known as “NagarkotDham or KotKangra” this temple is dedicated to Goddess Brajeshwari. This temple was destroyed by foreign invaders and then by an earthquake in 1905. This temple has been completely restored.
- Kangra Fort: Also known as the “Nagar Kot” is located at the confluence of rivers Banganga and Manjhi. The two entrance gates of the Fort consist of a beautiful courtyard between them. This fort is preserved by the Archaeological Department of India.
