Climate and the best time to visit Khandala
The climate throughout the year in Khandala is “pleasant” with, the temperature during the summer months from March to May rising to about 32 degrees maximum. During the wet months from June to August, this beautiful hill station receives heavy rainfall. And it is during this season due to the green atmosphere that Khandala looks beautiful. The winters begin in October and end in February with the temperature being in the range of 12 degrees minimum. So ideally Khandala can actually be visited anytime during the year with the climate being not too hot or too cold.

- Amrutanjan Point: Is located at the entrance of the KhandalaGhat. This point is considered to one of the most scenic spots and offers a picturesque view of the valley and the Duke’s Nose. This is a major tourist attraction.
- Reversing Station: Is a deserted station. This is yet another picturesque spot that offers a perfect view of the beautiful natural diversity in the surroundings.
- Rajmachi Fort: Consists of two beautiful forts located in the hills of the Sahyadri. According to history, Shivaji the great Maratha Emperor had captured these forts during the 17th century. The monsoon season is the ideal time to visit this fort.
