a. Nose Point of Dolphin:
“Magnificent views of the Nilgiri Hills” is what a spot known as Nose Point of Dolphin located at a distance of about 10 minutes from the town area of Coonoor provides for. In addition, it also provides for the panoramic view of yet another popular hill station known as Coorg. Furthermore, a beautiful waterfall known as “Catherine” can also be viewed from this spot.
b. Lamb Rock:
A rock known as “Lamb” is yet another spot in Coonoor that is extremely popular. The reason for its popularity being the magnificent panoramic view of its surroundings that it provides for.
c. Sim’s Park:
“Sim’s” is a park located in Coonoor that is extremely popular with tourists. It basically comprises of a number of varied plants. Furthermore, it also serves as an ideal “bird watching” spot. In addition, this park is ideal for all those who love to undertake regular walks.
d. Pasteur Institute:
Situated in close proximity to Sim’s Park is the Pasteur Institute. It was first established in the year 1907 and has been involved in research revolving around immunization for severe diseases such as rabies and polio. In fact, there are many guides available at this institute who teach the process of producing a vaccine.
e. Droog Fort:
Constructed by Tipu Sultan is a fort known as Droog. This fort provides for splendid views of its surroundings. Historically speaking, this fort was used as an outpost as a Tipu Sultan during the 18th century.
