Munnar which means “three rivers” in Malayalam is a beautiful hill station located in the Idukki district in the state of Kerala i.e. Gods own land. Climate and the best time to visit Munnar
The climate of Munnar is usually pleasant right throughout the year. During summers (March to May) the temperature ranges from 19 degrees to 35 degrees. The winter(December to February) is cold with the minimum temperature dropping to as low as 10 degrees. The monsoon from June to September is heavy and usually is not an ideal time to visit. The ideal time to visit is from March to May and October to November.

Atukkad Waterfalls:

Mattupettylake and dam:
Mattupetty, a small scenic village, located 13 kilometers away from Munnar is famous for its dairy farm. The lake and dam make for a beautiful picnic spot. Apart from boating, horse riding is also a thrilling activity you can try.
Chithirapuram:
As indicated by its name, which means a place inspired by pictures, Chithirapuram is all about exploring the ancient charm and beauty. The tiny cottages, colonial churches, playgrounds, huge ancient style bungalows, etc will remind you of an old world charm.
Eravikulam national park:
The most popular, most sought after and a must to see place in Munnar is the Eravikulam National Park. This wildlife park, located in Rajamala Hills is the home to the rare species, Nilgiri Thar. The national park houses a variety of common, rare to exotic species of animals, flora and fauna, grasslands, etc. It is also famous for the unique Kurinji flower which blossoms every 12 years. The pathway of this park is scenic and the atmosphere is quite romantic.
Anaimudi Peak:
The highest peak is located in the southern end of the Eravikulam national park. Anaimudi peak houses the world’s largest moth, Atlas Moth, with a few exotic flowers. Visitors are not allowed to trek to reach the peak. However, there are few exceptions where special written consent from the forest department could help you climb the peak.
