The climate of Pauri is “temperate” and as a result is pleasant throughout the year. The summer season begins in March and ends in June with the temperature varying between 25 degrees to 45 degrees. The rainfall received during the monsoon season (June to September) is heavy and is the ideal season for genuine nature lovers i.e. greenery is found in abundance. The winters from December to February are extremely cold with temperatures often dropping below 0 degrees. Snowfall is common during this season. The best time to visit Pauri being March to November.

Kandoliya Temple: Located atop the Kandoliya Hill this magnificent shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The dense forest fencing this temple helps add charm to this site. The view of the mighty Himalayas and the verdant Gangwarsyun valley from this site is mind-boggling.
KyunkaleshwarMahadev Temple: This temple is believed to have been established by Sankaracharya and belongs to the 8th century AD. The main idol is Lord Shiva along with Goddess Parvati and her children Ganapati and Karthikeyan. There are also idols of Lord Ram, Lakshman, and Sita on the temple premises. The marvelous Alaknanda Valley and the imposing Himalayas can be viewed from here.
Khirsu: Located at an elevation of 1700 meters, this location offers some exotic views of the snowcapped mountains and the dense forests of oak and deodar, located deep down. Ghandiyal Devi temple is located in proximity to this location. This is an extremely tranquil site that is popular for its apple orchards.
Siddhibali Temple: Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, this temple is visited by pilgrims throughout the year.
Tara Kund: It is located amid the lofty mountains in the Chariserh Development Area. There is a beautiful lake near the temple. Teej festival is celebrated here with much pomp and show.
Lakhman Temple: Within 15 minutes drive from Pauri is the Lakhman temple, a stone-made structure.

Adwani is another tourist hotspot located closely, which is surrounded by lush green woods and enjoys a very tranquil setting.
