Climate and the best time to visit Shimla Hills
The climate in Shimla all through the year is pleasant. The summer months that begin in March and end in June are pleasant with the temperature ranging from 15 degrees to 30 degrees. The winters which begin in October and until till February are severe with temperature ranging from 8 degrees to – 2 degrees. The monsoon’s that begin in July and end in September are heavy and is not the ideal time to visit due to landslides. The ideal time to visit this hill station is from March to June.

The sanctuary is the home of a variety of species like the crested porcupine, Himalayan black bear, rhesus macaque, wild boar, sambar, panthers, European red deer, etc. Cheer and kalij pheasant are some birds that nest here.
Arki Fort: This fort holds an intriguing historical background. Today, it is a heritage hotel that depicts a fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture. The beautiful paintings on the walls showcase the rustic lifestyle of the local people.
