Located on the banks of the River Laddar and elevated at an altitude of 7200 feet above sea level “Pahalgam” is a beautiful hill station in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.  It is the headquarters of one of the five “tehsils” i.e. talukas of the Anantnag district.
